Flesh-N-Bone Gun Charges Officially Dropped

Friday, April 24th, 2009

fleshnboneWe reported last week Flesh-N-Bone Pleaded Not Guilty To Gun Charges, charges stemming from a non-functional brake light traffic stop.  We’re happy to report the gun possession charges were officially dropped earlier this week.

A representative for the L.A. district attorney’s office said they couldn’t file the charges against the rapper as planned, once they were made aware of further details in the case. “The defense turned over some information, and we investigated and realized we were unable to proceed with the charges as filed, so the judge dismissed the case,” Jane Robinson explained.

Shephard Kopp, the rapper’s lawyer was overjoyed that the case was dropped. “It vindicates what I’ve said from the start of this case, which is that Mr. Howse did not possess any contraband,” he said. “When you haven’t done anything wrong and you wind up in jail it’s a pretty traumatic event. There’s still a parole hold, and we hope to get that resolved within the next week.”  We at Hip Hop Starship say damn – just leave the boy alone.
