Young Buck has discussed his relationship with Dr. Dre and revealed past failed attempts to get a hold of the Doc.
Despite being associated with Dre during his days as a G-Unit member, Buck said he has not gotten in touch with him for over three years.
“Dr. Dre is an individual who I wish I heard from at some point in time because his voice in my situation would means a lot. He don’t have to on my side or [50 Cent's] side, but just say something, bro. I even told Game to say ‘what’s up’ to Dre for me, but I haven’t heard anything..I haven’t received an email or spoken to Dre in three years…I haven’t heard from Dr. Dre or Eminem… not to say my situation is any part of their business but at a point in time I was sitting in front of these dudes. And I’m not looking for them to take sides or anything, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what is being done to me from their artist.”
MTV has announced that Eminem and pop star Lady Gaga lead all nominees for a Moonman Award during MTV’s 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
Lady Gaga racked up thirteen nominations this year, while Eminem came in second with a total of 8 nods.
Songs like “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” earned the pop singer nominations for “Video of the Year,” “Best Collaboration” and “Best Female Video,” while rapper Eminem is vying for “Best Male Video” and “Video of the Year” amongst others, for his song “Not Afraid.”
“Apparently MTV doesn’t care that I have two massive stadium shows on the other side of the country the day after the VMA’s. F me, right?!?!,” Eminem said in a statement released today August 3rd. “I mean, I’ll be there but don’t expect me to be nice about it.”
Other nominees include Jay-Z and Alicia Keys for “Empire State of Mind,” Swizz Beatz and Jay-Z for “On to the Next One,” Kid Cudi, MGMT & Ratatat for “Pursuit Of Happiness,” Justin Bieber and Ludacris for “Baby” and others.

Charles Hamilton has reportedly checked into the NewYork Presbyterian Mental Hospital in an effort to gain control over his life.
Speaking in an interview, Hamilton explained his decision to seek medical help.
“Basically my stay here NY Presbyterian Mental Hospital is like identical to my stay in the industry. As far as being the new guy in here having to deal with politics & people trying to control you. The critics would have to be the doctors and the rounds medicine guys. So you can say this is like an experiment to see if the industry is really like an asylum or if I was the one bugging. Some say the Industry is like High School but it’s just like a mental hospital.”
Hamilton is also determined to prove a point while being closely looked after.
“My fellow artists would have to be my fellow patients, and they’re just as frustrated as [rappers] cause they have to take their meds and the patients in the Industry [rappers] have to take their medicine which is Industry politics. I’m the retard who takes off my med bracelet and I just do exactly what I’m not supposed to do. All I would normally do, like the stuff I do people think it’s irregular and people that really know me are like what’s everyone mad about he’s just being himself. In this hospital I can really be my natural self. Just like I am in the Industry but everyone is so content with putting up this fake imagery that feel like being yourself ruins your image. Everything I’ve done in this industry, whether it was based on outside speculation, peer pressure, or the outside feeling I was being extorted or the outside feeling I was buggin out, I remained true to me. I do it like I’ve done everything else in my life, it’s just like I’ve Alway been Valedictorian Material But I’ve made sure I was the class failure just to prove a point to administrators and the people who make money off students in the school. I’m the kid in the back of the class that will probably get beat up by all your favorite bullies and is smarter than any kid that’s ever stepped into the school but is failing.
50 Cent has decided to cease being painted as the “bad guy” in rap beefs and will stop entertaining artists with diss records. “A lot of times, earlier in my career, I was competing with artists because that was what I loved about hip-hop: The idea that battling someone was necessary to defend your spot and you had to take on all challengers so I did that constantly. No one thinks that way now and everyone looks at me like I’m the Broad Street Bully. The younger kids coming up missed that time frame, and even the conscious rap is gone too. The stuff that Common Sense and Talib Kweli and Mos Def were rhyming about. What was socially conscious and responsible about the music has been replaced by hipster kids in skinny jeans and mohawks looking like a bunch of homos.

Speaking in an interview with radio personality Tim Westwood, Fif said he never sparked rap beefs.
“I don’t have…issues with people until they say things that make me feel like they want a problem,” said the Queens rapper. “Point to one situation that I’ve been in, one altercation where I was competing with another artist that I’ve started…Ain’t that hip-hop? There’s always been battling. It’s always been a part of the culture. In the court of public opinion, many have deemed Jay-Z a devil-worshipping member of a secret society.
However, the rap mogul defiantly denies the allegations on the new Rick Ross Teflon Don album on a track called “Free Mason.”
According to MTV, the rapper raps:

Additionally, Jay says:

Jay-Z has addressed the accusations in interviews, but never express the sentiments with such passion.

Nicki Minaj has finally announced a release date for her debut album.
She revealed that the solo project would hit stores in November but did not give out an album title.
Nicki Minaj is everywhere, except on her own album. But that’s about to change because the breakout star’s debut finally has an official release date. Young Money’s First Lady will release her as-yet-untitled album during the week of Thanksgiving, known to be the busiest shopping week of the year in the U.S. “Yes. It’s time. November 23rd,” she told her followers on Twitter.
The rapper recently promised to drop the album this fall and allow fans to get more familiar with her.
“The album is coming along just spectacular,” Minaj revealed in an interview. “I been doing a lot of work with Swizz Beatz, and the stuff that we been coming upon is magical. When people hear the album, they’re going to get to know Onika her birth name is Onika Maraj. And no one knows Onika. I really didn’t think I would be this excited about the songs that I’m coming up with. I’m really, really proud…I’m gonna let the album introduce my alter ego. Super Cash Money Records producer Mannie Fresh recently talked about his stint on Baby’s label and claimed Lil Wayne tried to get him out of the picture.
Speaking on Wayne’s success as of late, Fresh said the rapper had issues with him during their Cash Money Records run.
“I just seen the dude grind, he’s doing his thing, that’s all I can really say and the biggest compliment, not to pat myself on the back but you start from somewhere, you will see you grow into something and you graduated from this school and look at the results. That’s all I can say. But there are times even with him, and this is not a hater statement but I guess it was because of things that were going on, he tried to ex me out of it. You cant ex me out of it, I am apart of your history. A Hot Boys reunion is possible, I can tell you this, Juvenile can tell you this, I don’t know how Wayne feel but BG can tell you this, all that depends on them, cutting the check and that’s the last line of it.”
Earlier this year, producer Bangladesh called out Baby for shady business practices.
“This is why Mannie Fresh don’t f*ck with [Cash Money] because he never got any royalty money,” he said in an interview. “That’s why Baby can go around flaunting this cash, because that’s everyone else’s money… It’s not even Wayne’s fault. Fresh spent over ten years working with the Cash Money family.
Mannie Fresh is currently an artist and hip-hop producer who records for Def Jam South. He is probably most famous for his time producing tracks for Cash Money Records from 1993 to 2005, and one half of the hip-hop duo, the Big Tymers with Birdman. In 2005, he split from Cash Money for financial reasons, and later joined Def Jam South, to which he is currently signed.
Jacki-O has unveiled more about her issues with Miami’s DJ Khaled and claimed the radio personality is not shining light on local artists.
In addition to him not playing her music, Jacki believes Khaled is not representing for Miami.
“If you’re in the position to play that music, you need to go hard for your city. Since this is your city and you’re so hood, why you not repping your city? Why you repping people that you feel you have contractual ties to? That’s the only people your repping when it comes to local artists. Whenever it comes to something with any other artists your playing them, but when it comes to playing the artists from Miami, if you ain;t got no contractual ties to them, you ain’t playing them.
Well, that’s not considered “repping your city” because when you rep your city you rep every artist in Miami that’s actually making a name for themselves and doing something. If that music is being played in the clubs and you that artist out there grinding, play the music. I just don’t see him doing that. Not for me and not for a lot of artists, I just don’t see that love and it kind of sickens me when I see people calling out my city and you not even really from Miami. I’m not going to understand why you don’t have that passion that a DJ is supposed to have for your city. Honestly, you really don’t have that passion because if you did you would let the emotional foolishness go and really rep for the city.” Last May, Jacki said Khaled believes he has more control than an artist.
“Don’t hold beefs or grudges with people just because you’re friends with my ex-label-mates…that’s crazy! If you hear a record that’s poppin’ in the streets and it’s poppin’ in the clubs play it on the station! I have a problem when the DJ feel like he more powerful than the artist and I think that’s the stance that he takes when it come to this music and it’s just ridiculous, so I do have a problem with him. It’s not just me, but a lot of people do. Maybe they think it and don’t say it but I choose to say it because I feel like it’s an injustice and it’s not right and it’s not fair, so I’m callin’ Khaled out on it…”
Former Death Row Records owner Marion “Suge” Knight has reportedly had an arrest warrant issued for him after he missed a court appearance last week.
Details about the warrant were revealed online today.
Cops are on the hunt for one Suge Knight — after the former Death Row kingpin skipped out on a court appearance in L.A. According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, Knight was supposed to appear in court last week for driving on a suspended license back in 2009 … it’s the latest in a string of recent legal run-ins. The rap mogul was arrested in May on the suspended license charge.
