Jim Jones “Vampire Life: We Own The Night Tour”

Jim Jones, has announced cities and dates for his upcoming “Vampire Life: We Own The Night Tour”. The seven-date tour kicks off on February 28 in Cambridge, Massachusetts and beginning on March 1, Jones will make stops in Philadelphia, Richmond, Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Ft. Lauderdale, where the tour wraps up on March 14. Joining Jones on the tour as an opener will be 22 year-old Southside Jamaica, Queens, New York rapper, Nyemiah Supreme.

Dipset Reunion Tour Dates and Locations

I never really been a big Dipset fan. They are okay but Im from the Dirty Dirty and we don’t really listen to that style of Hip Hop on the regular basis. Dipset has been broke up for so long you would think they would have a bigger Tour with more dates and bigger venues. But when they leave the N.Y area I believe interest falls way off. Hip hop had a homecoming Monday night.

The genre’s two biggest stars – Jay-Z and Eminem – headlined Yankee Stadium in the borough that gave birth to this whole revolution in sound and style more than 30 years ago.

The triumphant performance in the Bronx, followed by a twin event Tuesday night, will put the stars in front of roughly 100,000 fans, perhaps the largest audience New York has ever hosted for a hip-hop show.

The concerts also represent the first at the Yankees’ new perch. The dates at the Stadium, in Jay-Z’s hometown, follow two equally gigantic shows that took place 10 days ago in Em’s lair: Detroit. Not bad for an art form purists love to pronounce dead.

All of these supersize happenings arrive at a time when the stars are far from kids – Jay is 40, Em will soon be 38 – yet neither has ever sounded more agile or spry.

Eminem took the stage first as a video intro reiterated his return from drug addiction and five years off the stage.

Tellingly, he opened with a number (“Won’t Back Down”) from his latest smash CD, “Recovery.” The disk unveils a more mature Eminem, although he didn’t skimp on material from his snotnosed days. He proved he could still make his murderous alter ego Slim Shady both steely and witty. Most songs arrived in more terse versions than on CD and with a rock scale that felt downright grand.

Guests peppered the event, from D12 to 50 Cent to Dr. Dre. Throughout, Eminem showed his bracing talent for balancing a fleet flow with rhymes that land like a punch to the gut.

Jay-Z’s set had a more celebratory tone, but his rhythms and raps proved just as smart and dense. Like Em, he has benefited from the more brutal crunch of a full-rocking band, as well as from guest stars like Kanye West on “Run This Town.”

Sterling sound lifted it all to the next level. Purists may still find reasons to carp, but, as delivered Monday night, hip hop never sounded more monumental.

2 of the All Time top 5 Rappers of All time doing 4 shows together. Whoa thats what up.

Jay-Z and Eminem. They’re certainly the biggest concerts Detroit has seen this year: a pair of tag-team evenings with Eminem and Jay-Z at Comerica Park.

A total of more than 80,000 fans will descend onto the stadium tonight and Friday for the hip-hop spectaculars, which some are calling the most important rap concerts in history.

For Eminem, whose 2005 show at Comerica Park preceded a rocky few years off the public radar, this week culminates a triumphant comeback that has propelled him back to the top of the charts. And for hometown fans, it’s a chance for the sort of larger-than-life party that Detroit knows how to do well.

Im sure this will be the Concert of the Year, they are doing 4 shows and all are sold out. Only these 2 could pack 80,000 into a Hip Hop show. All of young money Lil Wayne,Nicki and Drake could not come close to filling a stadium up.

Doug E Fresh and Slick Rick to Reunite for “The Show”

Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh will reunite on stage next during “The Show,” a concert which is slated to take place next week in the Bronx, New York.

In addition to being hosted by rap legend Roxanne Shante, The Show will feature performances by Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh, Positive K., Big Daddy Kane, The Force MD’s, MC Shan, Grand Puba, Cutman LG and others.

“It’s going to be great to be back on stage with Big Daddy Kane,” Positive K. “It is great that Pay Up is doing its thing with Spinback Entertainment, bringing the real classic Hip-Hop to the Mecca of Hip-Hop, the Bronx.”

The show, which is being presented by Spinback Entertainment in association with Pay Up Management, takes place at The Paradise Theater on August 12th and is being hosted by Bern Nadette Stanis, aka Thelma from Good Times.

“If it was not for the Bronx, this Hip-Hop game would not be here so we are honored to grace the stage in the Bronx,” said Force MD’s lead Stevie D. “Just show up and you will see.”

Doors open at 6:00 PM, while the show starts at 8:00 PM.
