Young Buck taking 50 Cent to Judge Judy

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Young Buck is planning to sue 50 Cent to get released from his contract with G-Unit Records.

His lawyer Lynda Jones sent a statement to Nashville’s The City Page saying that Buck, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, intends to pay off his bankruptcy and sue 50 Cent .

“Mr. Brown intends to reorganize his debts and pay off the IRS in a timely manner through Chapter 13. We hope to secure the return of his personal property quickly. He will also be filing a lawsuit in the next 30-60 days against his former manager, G Unit label and Mr. Curtis Jackson.

“There are a few procedural hurdles we need to address in handling these matters, but they will ironed out shortly. I will be associating attorneys Amy Everhart and Jennifer Lawson for the litigation. Both have excellent experience.”

Young Buck has been trying to get off the label and release a new album since 2007.

In a filing with Nashville’s U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Young Buck cited as a $5 million contingent his claim against Bruce Seckendorf, G Unit Inc., Curtis Jackson III and Michael Clervoix.

While an official confirmation has yet to surface, reports have begun circulating online.

A source just told us that 50 Cent has let Young Buck out of his contract with G-Unit. In April 2008 50 Cent announced on Hot 97 that Young Buck was kicked out the group, but was still contractually signed to G-Unit. Since that time, Buck has been unable to release any commercial music. Buck is currently working his new single “My Campaign”, produced by Drumma Boy. It will be interesting what he does with his new position. If he can get singles reacting on the radio, he get into a good position.

Shyne responds to 50 Cent punking him on the Phone

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Shyne has reacted to a prank pulled by 50 Cent, when the G-Unit frontman interrupted a media call and berated his rival.

50 Cent recently called into a Def Jam conference call between Shyne and various media outlets.

During the 3 minute clip, 50 Cent interrupts Shyne’s conference call multiple times and impersonates a DJ asking questions of Shyne, before launching into a Mel Gibson-like tirade, continuously ordering the rapper to “shut up.”

During an interview with MTV.com, Shyne addressed the viral video clip, which is making headlines across the world.

“Like that’s like an all-time low,” Shyne said. “I didn’t know son was that desperate. he’s gone from confidential informant, a witness protection program dude, to getting order of protections on motherf**kers, now he’s a stalker. I was in shock.”

Shyne expressed shock at 50 Cent’s antics and said he didn’t think the G-Unit rapper would sink that low, especially since 50 was trying to make “peace” surrounding their beef.

“He’s been reaching out to one of my generals in the street begging for peace…so he caught his voice too, so it was after the fact,” Shyne said. “I thought it was somebody having a bad day that wanted to know about the situation. It wasn’t until after everything was finished, that motherf**kers at Def Jam was like ‘yo that was Boo Boo, that was Hawaii 5-0.’ Then he puts it out like he was calling and talking reckless. He’s a creep.”

People are already aware of my situation … the whole fight with the contract thing. It’s about to get real, real interesting, people. I will say that much…If you ain’t focused on Buck, now is the time to get focused on Buck,” he continued. “With this whole contract situation, we really gonna see what this was really about. 50 Cent says he will not Beef anymore

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

50 Cent has decided to cease being painted as the “bad guy” in rap beefs and will stop entertaining artists with diss records. “A lot of times, earlier in my career, I was competing with artists because that was what I loved about hip-hop: The idea that battling someone was necessary to defend your spot and you had to take on all challengers so I did that constantly. No one thinks that way now and everyone looks at me like I’m the Broad Street Bully. The younger kids coming up missed that time frame, and even the conscious rap is gone too. The stuff that Common Sense and Talib Kweli and Mos Def were rhyming about. What was socially conscious and responsible about the music has been replaced by hipster kids in skinny jeans and mohawks looking like a bunch of homos.

COSIGN

Of course, that’s always been around, but it was usually confined to the Village. Artists have always had the opportunity to influence the culture, but now it’s the other way around: They’re trying to look like their audience to attract their audience. Now you can’t tell the difference between a Led Zeppelin fan and a hip-hop fan.”

Speaking in an interview with radio personality Tim Westwood, Fif said he never sparked rap beefs.

“I don’t have…issues with people until they say things that make me feel like they want a problem,” said the Queens rapper. “Point to one situation that I’ve been in, one altercation where I was competing with another artist that I’ve started…Ain’t that hip-hop? There’s always been battling. It’s always been a part of the culture. In the future, because I’ve been kind of captured as the actual bad guy on some level because they watch me compete and win and it feels like it was effortless, I will make a point to not even respond. I will just look and watch people when they say things.”

Rick Ross says the 50 Cent Beef is over

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Rick Ross recently reflected on his past issues with 50 Cent and said he is responsible for polluting music.

Ross says he has learned to move forward and focus on making business moves.

“That’s the beauty of art,” Ross told us. “You can take it and channel it any way you want to. Of course, I realize I put a lot of pollution out there as well that I wouldn’t this year. That was a part of me learning. I’ll forever be attracted to some form or fashion of war. I feel it’s competitive but at the same time, I’m focused on my numbers. I’m focused on my business. I’m focused on my brand. I wanna see other things blossom around me, versus back-and-forth with nothing. For the most part, I feel when you prioritize your business, that’s the result — that’s the advice I’ve been given for so long. I’m trying it out.”

Last month, 50 said he never reached out to make a truce with Ross.

“I never had a conversation with him. My focus shifted during that record. A lot of times, earlier in my career, I was competing with artists because that was what I loved about hip-hop: The idea that battling someone was necessary to defend your spot and you had to take on all challengers — so I did that constantly. No one thinks that way now and everyone looks at me like I’m the Broad Street Bully. The younger kids coming up missed that time frame, and even the conscious rap is gone too. Speaking to fans at a concert over the weekend, Buck aired out his issues with 50.

“I just want to get this out real quick and make sure to let all my people out there know one thing, as far as the G-Unit reunion sh*t on me, I ain’t with that sh*t,” Buck told a crowd of concert fans. “We got too much unfinished business to happen, 50. I’m not with none of that sh*t — I just want to make sure we get that clear. I’m not with it my n*gga, you took a real n*gga through too much my n*gga. If you want war, we gonna go to war and we gonna do this sh*t in a real street way until one of us dies my n*gga. I’ll play that game with you. It’s only right, somebody’s gotta do this in a real way…Even if I lose my life in being a real n*gga, one thing y’all motherf*ckers know is that I was a real n*gga…When a n*gga playing with a n*gga’s life then you treat a n*gga with no emotions. You take a n*gga’s life. So either meet me in h*ll or heaven, f*ck you, f*ck G-Unit.”
